Current Projects
The Mpunde Health Center is a primary healthcare facility established in rural Uganda to provide essential medical services to underserved communities. The center offers a range of services including maternal and child health, infectious disease treatment, psychiatric counselling, health education, and preventive care.
Recognizing the connection between education and health outcomes, the program offers targeted support for students by addressing barriers to attendance and providing resources that enhance learning. We are currently fundraising to build a new school, which will further our mission to create a safe, supportive, and empowering space for students to learn.
The Menstrual Dignity Project aims to address the barriers women and girls face in accessing menstrual hygiene products and education. By equipping girls with reusable supplies and menstrual education, the project supports their dignity, health, and consistent school attendance, helping to reduce dropout rates and promote gender equity in education.
The annual flagship event brings together global health leaders, researchers, and advocates dedicated to addressing global health disparities. Attendees hear from the GHEF research teams about their data collection and preliminary study analysis and engage in insightful discussions on pressing issues to achieve equity in global health outcomes.
Shared Clinical Learning is a hands-on global health experience in Jinja, Uganda, where students work alongside Ugandan peers at Jinja Regional Referral Hospital. Designed for undergraduate, graduate, and medical students to explore ethical practice in low-resource settings.
